Cat Nap?

Last night I had strange dreams…all night long. All the dogs and cats in the neighborhood came over for dinner (maybe it was the chocolate covered cashews I ate at 10:00 p.m.?). So tonight, I popped some Kettle corn while I edited a story for Chicken Soup for the Soul. And then I fell asleep on my laptop, and woke up to my cat in the popcorn!

She just threw up (so I think it’s all out of her system). I hope. In my flustered state, I hit the send button to Chicken Soup (I can’t remember if I finished editing it or not, but it’s gone now!). My motto: Out of sight, out of mind! If it makes it in the book, it will be a miracle and then I can tell the "story" about how I fell asleep, my cat threw up, and I still made it into the Chicken Soup for Cancer Survivors.

Tonight marks the end of writing and tomorrow marks the beginning of speeches and PowerPoints. But I’m ready to get into a routine again. Mark officially goes back to work on September 8, 2008. If this is what retirement is like (I’m checking out jobs at Starbucks!). Or better yet, we can both be WalMart greeters…I’ve always wanted to do that. How fun to make everyone’s day, and then slide them a cart.

Okay, this is short because I’m actually going back to bed to finish the dream I started before I finished editing my story. I really want to listen to my new iPod shuffle, which no one seems to know how to work yet? Maybe I’ll just hum along to some songs I already know and work on that tomorrow.

I already woke Mark up once when the cat got sick (so I’m sure he won’t appreciate the interruption AGAIN after midnight with the “shuffle” problem).

The cat’s taking a cat nap, so I think I can safely tip-toe back to sleep.

Night-Night!

You are hilarious!!

I wonder if it's the moon or something - I had a funny dream this week too, and Tim's still laughing because I woke up in the middle of it, told him about it, went back to sleep right in the middle of the dream, and talked to him like he was in my dream, too!
(I was hooking up a washer and dryer in a new RV - he wanted to put our current one in, and I couldn't convince him it wouldn't fit!)

Praying for you during the coming weeks, as you readjust your schedules.

Blessings,
Tracy

I love the picture and the story. I am going to start taking more shots of our cats because they are so funny with the things they do. I am learning how to take short videos with my camera now.

I have been having strange dreams too lately. It must be something in the water.

Connie,

If you can figure out how to restart a dream, please clue me in, there are some that I have had over the years that I would like have liked to restarted.

You would be a good WalMart greeter, you always have a smile on your face, and are so pleasant.

May God be with you as you hit the road once again, and also protect Mark as he goes back to work.

God's Blessings to You,

Terry

Oh that's funny...you woke up in the middle, told hubby, and went back to sleep. You win the "Dreamer of the Night" award!

RV washer and dryer? Is that harder to do than an iPod shuffle? We had the same problem with our side-by-side refrigerator years ago; the movers said, "No way. No how!" My hubby found a way.
Never underestimate a man's determination to do something when he thinks he's "right."

Schedules, oh yes, what's that? I've been working the night shift way too many nights to get caught up from the daytime activities. To switch to days will be an adjustment, but at least I won't be falling asleep on my laptop!

HUGS!

Greg,

I'm technically challenged, but I just found out my camera (3 years old) has a built in video-recorder. I'll have to post something we took over the Labor Day weekend!

Cats...last night while I drifted off, I heard "rain" outside and told my hubby to make sure the windows were closed in the cars.

You know what the sound was? It was Bianca licking her fur--taking a bath! It sounded just like rain against the window. Mark went outside and came back in and said, "It's NOT raining!" And then I pointed to the cat. We're still laughing over that one!

I'll look forward to your videos!

I don't know how to restart a dream, but I do know how to "jump start" a dream. I'm one on those fortunate people who "fly" in their sleep. It's the best dream and (so real!). Anyway, if I think about it before I go to sleep then I can actually fly in my dreams.

I think about one-third of the population actually "fly" in their dreams. My son and I "fly," but Mark and Jon have no clue as to what we're talking about. They have found that those who are in the "arts"--writing, speaking, and graphic design usually have the highest probability. Oh, my mom can fly too(so it must be hereditary!).

Thanks for your well wishes, Terry!

Oh my, what a comedy of errors - LOL! And what silly dreams - you're too funny! I hope it works out with your story. Which reminds me, I better get to finishing an article I need to submit by next week - yikes!

:) Did the cat throw up IN the popcorn? Ew.

I think Tracy's on to something. I've been having the weirdest dreams lately, and it's been a while since I've really dreamed.

Hope your speeches are all smash hits!

You go girl! I think you got more done today that I did. Not too productive. I had wrinkles and Band-Aid problems!

SMILE!

Flea,

Now you have me thinking? I hope she didn't throw up in the bowl (I didn't check yet!). Oops! I guess it's too late--huh? I already ate the popcorn.

I'm hungry, but I'm staying away from food at night after 6 p.m. and see if that does the trick (I hope so!).

HUGS!
