A Heart-Shaped Moon

I guess it’s no secret that when I have a deadline, I head for the Hershey Hotel, get an iced tea, climb two flights of stairs to the mezzanine area overlooking the lobby, and write. I stay until the “job” is done!

On Tuesday, I had more than one deadline—actually three—and it was late when I left the hotel. I was disappointed that I missed the sunset, but the moon was full and it was smiling at me as I walked to the parking lot. I snapped a picture—knowing that it wouldn’t turn out because I had my Kodak camera without the night landscape setting.

This morning as I was packing for Ohio (I leave early tomorrow); I transferred my disks to CD’s and guess what popped up?

A heart-shaped moon!

Call it trick photography, blurred photography, or chance, but I call it God’s love for me. I was feeling overwhelmed with deadlines and I worked hard—really hard—to get it all done (even ignoring a sunset which I NEVER do).

My reward was a smiling heart-shaped moon!

You couldn't do that again if you tried. :) Beauty is all around us but many people just don't look. I took a great shot many years ago while on one of those whirling swings at the fair. I had an inexpensive camera and the entire picture was a blurr but it was beautiful. I wonder where that photo is today?

I think you're right, Greg! One in a million shot!

I have some more pictures from my recent trip to Ohio, but I'll try to post them later this week. I'm speaking three places this week.

I'm thinking at this point, I need a clone! :-)

Connie,

Great shot, many a picture taken is by an amature, like you and me, but it is in the timing, and being at the right place at the right time. Isn't God good, He gives us what He sees we need at that moment.

I have a picture of a lightning bolt I took, but I had to be an idiot to get the picture, I stood under this huge tree for almost 30 minutes till I got the picture I wanted during a horrific storm. I was using a Cannon AE-1 camera, 400 speed film, and my 210 mm lens. God had to be protectiong me!

It sounds like you are busy, take care.

God Bless,

Terry

Terry,

Isn't God amazing? Now every time I look at the moon, I see a heart. It's one of those moments that you never forget.

I'm tired...I've been on the road for the past week and three more events this week to go, then a small break, and then again in November.

God was with me on the Turnpike coming back from Ohio (I'll blog on that later!). I know God's angels were with me.

Blessings to your dear friend!
