Christmas in June!

I told you that I would let you know if I actually made it into the book. Well on Monday I found out! It was confirmed in the Cup of Comfort newsletter -- the official list of the authors and the way they will appear in the book. My story is titled, "The Case of the Missing Gifts." The book is a compilation of stories and devotions, which will make a great Christmas gift.

As soon as I'm able to order books, I will be offering an autographed copy as a gift. Just leave a comment and I'll have my hubby pick a name.

Congratulations! Your story sounds intriguing.

I like to write, too, but I keep appearing at my critique group with nothing in hand. --Just haven't been in the mood to craft and work hard on something. (writing is hard work!--as you know!)

Yes, writing is hard work. I have a deadline for my book on Moms of Sons and the closer it gets, the more I have to get away to write. I outline my stories away from home and in draft form. And then I edit at home. I have two places to write; it's a trained response once I get there. Oh, and my ideas come in the shower, while I'm jogging, driving, and during movies (smile!). Keep paper and pen everywhere...the stories will write themselves. The hard work comes later (edit, edit, edit!).

My favorite cheerleader, Flea! I love you. What are you writing these days?

Susan

I forgot all about that! I wonder how long it normally takes to process that? I'll check into it. :) Thanks for asking dear friend.

I'll have Mark pull a name for the winner of the book tonight and post the winner tomorrow.

HUGS!
