Guest Blogger

The week of July 3-9, I will be a guest blogger on Allison Bottke's U-Turns website. Allison is the the creator of the U-Turn series and in March, the book was released, volume 5 of the series: God Allows U-Turns for Women: The Chocies We Make Change the Story of Our Life. "Living the Passionate Life!" is my contribution to the book, and I hope you will join me next week. An added bonus, each time you make a comment to one of the posts, your name will be added to a drawing at the end of each month. Hope to hear from you next week.

Hello Connie,
I just wanted to let you know that I too had some lifechanging experiences with the blessing of breast cancer. I didn't see it as a blessing until I became a survivor. My contribution to the same issue of God Allows U-Turns for Women:The Choices We Make Change the Story of Our Life was "Was Blind But Now I See". I too faced my mortality and realized one of my passions when this was published. I also know that God isn't finished with me yet. I would be interested in knowing when and where you are leading a marriage seminar so that my husband and I might attend. I feel God creates opportunities for us to grow by the people he puts in our paths. You appeared in my path and I may need to grow as our ideas are similar. Thanks for your response.

Hi Marie,

Thank you so much for your post. I read your story in God Allows U-Turns. Isn't it amazing the different paths we take to get us to the same spot--realizing we aren't in control of our lives! God has "everything" under control. I love the title of your chapter: "Was Blind But Now I See." I walked around "blind" for 40 years and only in the past ten did I receive my new pair of "eyes."

My husband and I are temporarily putting marriage seminars on hold because of my schedule this year, but we hope to resume them later in 2007. God bless you Marie for sharing your U-Turn story and for your gift of writing!
