Breast Cancer Awareness

Today I'm blogging on Boomer Babes Rock about the "Pay-Off" which has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm about to say.

I am passionate about a cure for breast cancer. Why you ask? Because I'm a survivor of 11 years and I know how devastating this disease can be and what it can do to a family. So how can you help?

Today Jan Parrish made a comment to my post on Boomer Babes and I checked out her blog (best thing I ever did!). She has a great idea that combines friends, coffee, chocolate and mammograms--not necessarily in that order! To find out more about Jan's brilliant idea, log on to her site at: http://www.janparrish.blogspot.com/

Remember: October is breast cancer awareness month! My story, "Touched by a Coffee-Loving Angel" appears in the Chicken Soup for the Coffee-Lover's Soul coming out November 2007. It's really my breast cancer story rolled up into a coffee bean.

If you'd like to know more about being a breast cancer friend, check out Jan's site.

Thank you for your enthusiastic endorsement, which is particularly meaningful coming from a cancer survivor. It warms my heart like a rich cup of Cinnamon dolce latte on a cold rainy day. It is my prayer that women across America will form Brest Friends groups and keep them going to defeat breast cancer and aid in early detection.

I always enjoy reading your posts on Boomer Babes Blog. I’ll have to stop over here and share a cup of coffee with you more often. You Rock!

Oh, that's my favorite too--Cinnamon Dolce Latte! What a great combination...coffee...cinnamon...
and just the right amount of sweetness. Although I have to tell you the Italians would go nuts (cinnamon in coffee?).

Yes, "blog" on over anytime at Boomer Babes, we've always got something brewing!

Hugs!

Hey Connie girl. I'm glad you're here... I mean it. What would I do without my "big sister"?

I'm so proud of my baby brother, soon to be Dr. Dan with a PhD in cancer research. He's scheduled to lecture in Mass. soon with some ground breaking results in his area of expertise. You'd never know he was such a brain. He's an athlete too. Unusual combo, isn't it? But then your boys sound like they have been blessed with that combo too!

Enough for now. Take care my friend. Have a great weekend!

Awesome...Dr. Dan (I didn't know you had a little brother with a PhD?). Your parents must be so proud of all their kids: author, PhD, what next? Oh my!

Until there's a cure...there's hope!

Hugs lil' sis!
