This has been one of the most colorful falls on record. In fact when I voted yesterday (I have my Starbucks coffee cup to prove it!), everyone was talking more about the trees than the candidates. I’m not sure what makes the difference (fall that is), but I’m sure the rain has something to do with it. And since we haven’t had horrible wind storms, the leaves have stayed on the trees longer, which means my camera goes everywhere with me, even if I’m heading to the gas station. Why? Because I think some of the most beautiful places around happen to be within a five-mile radius of our home. We are surrounded by Amish farms, rolling green (amber) hills, the Susquehanna River, and state parks.
I’m tempted to get my glue gun out and stick the leaves back on the tree, so I can enjoy the beauty of fall just a little bit longer. Soon the branches will be bare and the golden hues will be replaced with that white stuff!
So for now, I’m falling in love with the splendor of fall.

Connie,
Beautiful pictures, I especially like the one going down I guess a driveway. Aren't the four seasons that God gave us refreshing, let me put an explanation point in there, pertaining to me, I do not like summer, even one little bit.
We still have a few leaves left here in the Pocono's, and looking out my office room window with the pouring rain, it is so beautiful. Carole and I always thought that the rainful was very comforting, how I miss those moments.
Have a great weekend.
God's Blessings to You and Mark,
Terry
Lovely pictures Connie - even though you're a California girl at heart, I know you're going to miss PA!
BTW - we got snow here last week - crazy. It even laid in the streets and made driving a hazzard. Cars were sliding off the roads!
Oh my, Connie. These are gorgeous. That bottom photo - of the drive - looks like a book cover of some sort. Wow.
The leaves are finally turning here, too. And they're brighter than usual.
Yes, it is because of rain at a particular time (but I don't have a clue when. :-) ) I do know that when we got rain a couple of weeks ago, it was the first rain we'd had since the 1st of September!
splendid \o/\O/\o/
Susan,
Ya think?!?!? I'm sure I will miss the fall the most. I overheard a conversation at Panera today about that very thing. Someone who lived in California for a while and moved back to the East Coast because they missed the seasons.
California has two seasons: sunny and rainy! ;)
Tracy, Tracy, Tracy...a book cover?!? Cool...now I just need to write it! :)
I've got photo fever!
HUGS!
Inspired!!!!!!!!!!!
How great to hear your "voice"!
I have more fall pictures I gathered today; the leaves are still hanging on!
